Buying pre-loved furniture is a brilliant way to find unique pieces while protecting the planet. However, in the UK, safety is non-negotiable. Every upholstered item we sell at Xcel Furniture must have a valid fire safety label to ensure your home stays safe and our community stays compliant.

01. What is it?

It's a permanent tag proving the furniture meets the UK Furniture & Furnishings Fire Safety Regulations.

02. Where is it?

Look under seat cushions, behind back pillows, or on the underside of the frame. It must be securely sewn or stapled.

03. Donor Checklist

Labels must be original, uncut, and clearly legible. Missing or cut labels mean we legally cannot accept the item.
