What is the required condition for my item
We recognize that your items may show signs of use and do not expect them to be flawless. However, they must be in good, reusable condition—presentable and suitable for someone’s home. Items that are ripped, torn, or heavily damaged cannot be accepted. For health and safety reasons, mattresses with stains are not eligible. Electrical appliances must be fully functional. As a practical rule, if you would feel comfortable offering these items to a friend or family member, they are likely appropriate for collection.
Do you repair Items
All items are thoroughly cleaned prior to sale; however, we do not accept items requiring repairs, as we lack the in-house skills to perform such work.
What are the available times for dropping off an item
Furniture can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Clothes, toys, and household items such as ornaments, pots, and pans are accepted only on Thursdays and Fridays during the same hours.
For detailed information about accepted items, please reach out to us via email or phone.

Why do we charge for items you get for free
We provide a complimentary collection service for items within the local community. While this service is free for customers, it incurs costs for us, including vans, fuel, staff, volunteer expenses, warehousing, processing, and showroom display. Each collection typically costs around £40. Our pricing reflects the condition and quality of items to help cover these overheads, starting as low as possible to maintain affordable options. As a not-for-profit organisation, setting fair prices is essential to sustain our services for the community. We also support the Foodbank and Carmarthen Community Money Advice.
What does a fire label signify
A fire label is a mandatory safety tag required on all upholstered furniture sold in the UK, including chairs, chaise lounges, ottomans, and sofas. It indicates compliance with British Fire Safety regulations.
Typically sewn or stapled into a cushion or beneath the sofa, the label provides details about the furniture’s fire safety standards. It includes a batch or ID number for traceability by the manufacturer in case of issues.
The label also specifies whether the furniture contains fire-resistant materials and explains how it meets regulatory requirements.
Additional information may include the UK supplier, manufacturing or import date, and a description of the materials used.
How much is for collection
Collection is free.
Items require pre-approval via email with photos before collection. Drivers will check for fire labels and damage. Local pickup of large items can be arranged, visit the link for details and image submission.
